My Guitarist Sons
Cory,
  started playing when he was 4 1/2 years old, and was
MaryLou's (his mom's)  first Suzuki guitar student.

Cory played the Vivaldi Concerto with his
middle school orchestra

Update: September, 2008
Cory has graduated from the Suzuki Method and is studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music/Case Western Reserve Universilty under scholarship with Jason Vieaux as a  Classical Guitar Performance Major.
Shawn,
at 3,  No he's not really playing yet,
but he sure wants to! He started playing at 5

Update: November, 2002
Now Shawn is playing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.
Go--Shawn---!!!, as Cory,  his big brother says.

Update: September, 2008
Shawn is playing up a storm in Suzuki Book 5 and is playing
 string bass as well as guitar in his middle school orchestra next year.

Cory and Shawn study mostly with their  mom, my wife, and best friend,  
MaryLou Roberts
,
who specializes in teaching young children, starting at four or five.  She has a big young people's guitar program
that is part of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute of Music.

Bachelor of Music in violin performance.
