This is me playing my guitar way back in 1972 in the room
where I gave my first private lessons in my home studio. It
was in 1972 that I also began teaching at my first college.
Teaching community students at home and teaching
performance majors at colleges and universities has been
an important part of my life ever since.

Welcome to my Private Studio page.  Teaching private classical guitar lessons is one of the most meaningful and enjoyable
things  I do.   I enjoy sharing  music and seeing people experience the lasting pleasure that fine music making brings to them.  
I teach beginning through advanced university level, from age 8 and up.   We work on a balance of technique and musicality,  playing a wide variety of music in the relaxed and personal environment of my home studio.
Weekly lessons are 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length; with day, afternoon and evening times usually available.  If you live a long distance from Ann Arbor,  you may arrange longer separate lessons.   I also have limited times available in my downtown Detroit studio.  Please contact me for further information or about availablity.
Aside from private lessons,  I periodically have group classes and student recitals.  Occasionally we hold a Classical Guitar Weekend Workshop, with private lessons, masterclasses, ensemble playing, participant recitals and special concerts. It's not so much the gale,
